Sorry it has taken so long to get back to you. Just wanted to drop you a quick note to say how delighted I am with the 6-Speed MkIV Supra Twin Turbo that you were able to source for me.
I took my time waiting for the right thing to come up and I am extremely glad I decided to go with you as not only was the car the exact thing I was looking for – paying the extra money for an additional inspection on the car was very much worth it. It was exactly as described and I am loving it.
I would highly recommend anyone thinking about importing any car from Japan to use Scott and his Team at JapanCarDirect to do it. The price was extremely reasonable, the communication was swift and accurate and I was kept informed and guided through every step of the way. I always say that the mark of a good company is always answered with the question “would I use them again”? I am actually in contact with them now to import my next car!

						I have never imported a car into the US from anywhere but I was going to give it a shot. Yoshiro Nakajima was the most amazing asset in this process I could have ever wanted. 						I worked with Mathew on getting my first Japanese Kei truck. The process and communication were great. For me the back-and-forth communication was the reason why I decided to go with japancardirect. Being able to see the auction trucks that are coming out and getting a detailed translation of the auction sheet is awesome. 						A few months ago I set out on my goal of importing a vehicle from Japan through an auction. After tons and TONs of research and countless emails, I decided to use Japan Car Direct as my exporter in Japan. From the beginning of my interactions with JCD, I was thoroughly impressed. My contact, Yoshi, was amazing...definitely a huge asset to the JCD team. He answered all of my questions promptly, translated dozens of auction sheets for me, and advised me of what to watch out for when looking for a vehicle. He was beyond helpful! I picked up my Kei truck at the port in Newport News a few weeks ago and couldn't be more pleased. Since then, the truck has made it to its final home in Charlottesville, VA on my farm. Yoshi and the other guys at JCD are now my go to team for more of these soon. Thanks again JCD and keep doing what you guys do! You all are the real deal. EDIT: One year later and I've just bought my 8th vehicle from the gang at JCD. There really is no one else you should go to. These guys are hands down, the best in the biz.

						Do yourself a favor, call Mathew at Japan Car Direct. Let him take the worry about doing business over seas off your plate. 						I chose JCD based upon the recommendation of a neighbor. I already had a car on its way from another company and knew that I didn't want to go through them again for my second car. Selecting the car was a much more pleasant and interactive experience and I felt much more confident in my purchase that I had before. Scheduling/shipping was transparent and I had all of the documentation in my hands well before I needed it. US Customs and the BMV were both a breeze and I had the vehicle and an Indiana title in hand 8 days after my Jimny arrived at port! I would absolutely go through JCD again for future imports!

						Just finished successfully importing my first JDM vehicle with the help of Mike and japan car direct and I am really impressed with the help and professionalism. Buying and importing a car is not like walking into a dealer and handing over money. There are a lot of regulations and processes that need to be taken car of and I am glad I chose the experts at JCD to get me through the process. The translations of auction sheets were really helpful and they answered so many questions from me that helped me understand the grade ratings, condition of cars and get exactly what I wanted. On port day, when I was at the Customs office waiting to get my paperwork stamped, I saw others in front of me find out they didn't have the right paperwork or didn't file things correctly and could never register their car and I was so glad, I had all my documentation from JCD and it was all done right. Saving up for my next JDM bucket list car to buy from JCD!

						Japan Car Direct has awesome support and always quick in response. Purchased several BMW 330i, BMW 530i, BMW M5, Benz C Class, E Class, AUDI TTS and etc to import into Taiwan. They took care of everything in Japan including export matters as well. It made our importing car business so easy all done through by internet. Wouldn't say it was as easy as purchasing on Amazon, but it sure was great enough for me. They even provided me daily notification of the models I was interested in. This helped me save tons of time from searching every day. Definitely suggest for English native buyers to Japan Car Direct, it would be much much more smoother than other Japanese companies in this business.

						Worked with Matthew, Taylor and Scott to find a particular Daihatsu Hijet to import into Australia. Not only did I find the right vehicle using thier platform, they then helped with procuring upgraded wheels off the Yahoo Japan auction site, sourced some additional spare parts not readily available in Australia and organized for a preshipment service. Everything went smoothly and without a hitch. I would highly recommend anyone thinking of importing a vehicle from Japan should consider the service that they offer it is Blue Ribbon.

						My experience with Japan Car Direct was flawless. From finding the right vehicle to payment and delivery, everything was a breeze. This was my first foreign import and I was impressed with how communicative and efficient the team was. Yoshiro was very helpful in guiding me through the process and being patient with me throughout.The only thing I would mention is that have the spare key couriered separately as one of my key fobs went missing during shipment. Cost me a bit to replace and reprogram; but not the end of the world. Just flagging as good practice for anyone thinking of buying a vehicle for import.Otherwise, would highly recommend Japan Car Direct and would use them again and again.

						I first stumbled upon Japan Car Direct LLC through their Facebook page and on their website. I plan on writing a full review once my car arrives, but at the current moment I wish I could give them more than a 5/5. First, their website is extremely professional and has all of the information that you could ask for. The coolest part about the entire process is getting access to the auction house by registering with them. You can then see (and get translations) for the cars of your choice! Mathew and Scott providing AMAZING customer service. This being my first time, they answered more than 50 e-mails of my questions, and were always very professional. They did not pressure me to purchase a car either, rather, I gave them my specifications and they worked with me to find the vehicle of my choice. I believe their service charge is more than fair considering they do the bulk of the work for you. No matter what time of day, it seemed like Mat and Scott were there to help! In addition to cars, they can help you find parts, which I will need some for my car! While we did run into some minor issues (like my delaying of payment since they are international, and some [dealer - not Japan Car Direct] translation issues with the dealer we bought the car from), Mat and Scott quickly worked to resolve them. Overall, they are great guys, and I will purchase again from them again. If only they could invent a hoverboard to make the car arrive faster :)

						I'd been looking to buy an RF series Honda Stepwagon to convert into a mini camper for a while but the UK prices always seemed too high. I had joined a few JDM import sites to get an idea of auction prices and costs (including Japan Car Direct) but just couldn't bring myself to take the next step, it seemed such a risk ! Finally after reading so many good reviews for JCD (and Mathew in particular) I took the plunge and contacted Mathew. After he answered my many questions regarding costs, fees etc I felt confident enough to pay the deposit and start hunting the Japanese auctions for my Steppy. My budget for the Steppy was pretty low (pathetic even !) but I felt Mat still put the same effort into replying to my questions and queries as he would have done if my budget had been into the tens of thousands. The result was I now have a very tidy Stepwagon with lower mileage than any vehicle I've ever owned, I've paid far less for it then I would have done buying in the UK and I've got a bigger budget now for the camper conversion. I wouldn't hesitate to buy through them again, and hope to do so soon.

						Ever since my first trip to Japan in 2016, I have wanted a kei vehicle. I was finally in a position to get one this year, but I didn't know where to start. After doing a lot of research and talking to a few folks who had done it before, I decided to use Japan Car Direct. The primary reason I chose JCD was that I kept hearing them described as "helpful" and "trustworthy". I think these two qualities are important, but particularly for a first time importer like myself. After all, I was going to be sending thousands of dollars halfway across the world for a vehicle I'd never seen, so I wanted someone I could trust and who would help me through the process. Yoshiro absolutely delivered on both counts for Japan Car Direct. From the first e-mail he was very responsive, took time to answer all my questions, and helped guide me to the right truck. The JCD team is great and I can't recommend them enough. I'm sure I will be doing business with them again when I'm ready for my next Japanese car! As for the vehicle, I snagged a very clean 1994 Acty SDX that showed up in even better condition than I expected. 						As a first-time importer for personal use, I really appreciated Mathew's @ JCD's patience in answering my questions, walking me through the process, and even explaining the paperwork! My minitruck attracts a lot of attention, so I will send folks your way if they are interested in getting their own! (Side note: if importing into the US, particularly Baltimore, I recommend arranging or planning for a steam-cleaning once it gets in, because US CBP/Dept of Ag will likely require one anyways.)

						I imported 2 cars with the help of Yoshiro at JCD and I could not see myself using anyone else for this sort of thing. Always prompt, professional and helpful to any questions or needs I had. Most of all it was highly important to me to have someone trustworthy in Japan handling that side of things for me and these guys delivered that perfectly. 						I purchased / imported some cars from Japan to USA with others before using JCD, so I have a little experience ...Although I am just doing this for fun I have imported 7 cars now. The 3 I bought before going with JCD all had hidden problems. Of course, buying auction cars is always "buyer beware". But with JCD Yoshi always pointed out small details and gave some suggestions before the bidding. He didn't say "no, don't do it" but gave a hint ... ok a few times he definitely said "DON'T" ... but that's what I want and need from someone facilitating this kind of purchase! Communication has always been A+ from Yoshi and JCD. They are on the ball... The fees are reasonable, and while I bet you can get a car to a US port for a few dollars less, I am not sure why you would want to. There are A LOT of misrepresented cars in the Japan auction system. It's thorough in some ways, but you have to know the risks and do what you can to mitigate them. JCD should really be part of that plan, part of understanding what you are going to get before you get it. A couple hundred bucks for inspections or other JCD services could prevent thousands later. I know because I learned the hard way by using others before coming to my senses and using JCD.

						Matthew at JCD is the man. I’ve now imported three of my own cars through him. JCD was able to accommodate my unique needs, everything from short turn around inspections, expert opinions on bidding, arranging quick turn shipping, and handling of docs. I have no reservations sending more tens of thousands of dollars for future imports. At the end of the day, they really wanted to make me a happy customer.

						I purchased a 1994 4wd Suzuki Carry Kei truck through JCD. Yoshi helped me during the process and after nearly 3 months and over 100 emails back and forth between questions and translations of auction sheets I finally decided on a truck. I've now had it for nearly a month and couldn't be happier with the purchase. They are extremely promt with responses and answered all questions I had. Being completely new at the importing process I never felt uneasy with my decision. If I ever decide to import another vehicle I will definitely use them again.
