2006 Maserati Quattroporte Executive GT
Sold and Exported
Every Maserati is a masterpiece, but the fifth generation Quattroporte (M139) produced from 2004 to 2012 is especially gorgeous with an exquisite body and interior designed by Pininfarina.
The Executive GT trim level adds 19” polished aluminum wheels and the customer’s choice of 15 body colors, ten hues of leather and three types of wood. This sensuous luxury combines with spirited performance and an intoxicating exhaust note to deeply move the emotions.
Well-heeled Japanese enthusiasts appreciate such perfection and do their utmost to maintain used Maseratis in nearly pristine condition. Yet this model, which received 4.4 stars out of 5 in the Edmunds review, sells in Japan for around one fifteenth of the retail price.
Inside are classic Italian craftsmanship and a warm alluring atmosphere with fragrant supple leather, lustrous woodwork and elegant hand stitching that leave other luxury cars behind. The superbly tailored front seats are 8-way power adjustable and sculpted for solid support during spirited driving. Other luxury appointments include an excellent climate control system with front and rear controls, retractable rear tables, premium 9-speaker Bose audio system, and heating, cooling and massaging functions on all seats for the ultimate in personal comfort.
Power comes on strong, as you might expect from a Ferrari/Maserati 4.2-litre V8 DOHC engine, and the signature exhaust note further enhances driving pleasure. 333 Lb-Ft. of torque at 4,500 rpm and 396 hp (400 PS, 294 kW) at 7,250rpm propel the Quattroporte from 0-60 mph in a highly respectable 5.2 seconds and from 0-100 km/h in 5.5 seconds with a top speed of 170 mph. Fuel efficiency is a reasonable 12 mpg in the city and 18 mpg on highways (EPA).
Ergonomic controls put the driver in confident command with sporty handling and spirited response. Steering is solid and precise via a tilt-able, telescoping, wood-rimmed steering wheel. Paddle shifters allow crisp manual gear changes when the highly rated 6-speed automatic transmission feels too tame. An electronically controlled Skyhook active suspension minimizes body roll around corners and provides driver selectable normal and sporty settings. For safety, the car features 4-wheel disc brakes with ABS, traction control, stability control and all-around airbags.
This impeccably cared for 2006 Maserati Quattroporte was sourced from Tokyo proper and came with its original manuals and service records. It is in nearly mint condition with chrome mesh front and side grilles that proclaim it a coveted Executive GT. For those seeking a premium motoring experience, very few vehicles compare.
