The stunning Mercedes Benz CLS550 combines the sportiness of a two-door coupe with the practicality of a four-door sedan, making it highly desirable amongst affluent executives in Japan.
When introduced in 2004, its sleek, coupe-like styling with big grille, long hood, low sloping roof and bold tail lights was so popular that Audi, Volkswagen and Jaguar came out with similar-looking models. The second-generation CLS550, launched in 2012 with more aggressive looks and better all-around performance, left the competition even further behind.
Its fast 4.7-liter, direct-injection, twin-turbo V8 engine pumps out 402 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 443 pounds-feet of torque at 1,800 rpm to propel you from zero to 60 mph in about 5 seconds flat. Even when you press the pedal to the metal, there is no perceptible turbo lag.
